Dressing the bump – H&M python print dress

My old cold has been substituted by a new one. Great. But in between being sick I did manage to pop into H&M at Regent Street.

I was there to buy socks and leggings,  but their sale is still on and I just couldn’t resist the flirty looks from this python print dress.

It is made from a mix of cotton and modal and is so comfortable and best of all: stretchy. It was half price and only cost 15 pounds.

Topshop Maternity Favourites

My cold is slowly getting better, and today I’ve even had the energy to check out Topshop’s  brilliant maternity range. Online that is, as my health is not really ready for the over-crowded flagship store at Oxford Street.

Anyways, it’s always a good idea to have a clear idea about what you’re after before heading into the high street clothes jungle. Here are a few of my favourites that I’ll be checking out IRL soon:

Maternity tan grandad style collarless blouse. £35.

Love the colour and the comfy factor. It would look really nice with a pair of skinny black jeans. Or maybe with the tan blouse above.

Maternity camel ottoman bodycon skirt with an elasticated waist. £25.

Again, nice colour! I would wear it with a tight black top, heels and a cropped jacket.

Maternity navy teddy tunic with gold military style buttons on shoulders. £35.

Simple and stylish and I love the navy/gold buttons combination which saves it from being boring. Comes in this colour as well.

Maternity grey baxter skinny jeans with front panel elasticated support. £40.

Last, but not least, the jeans. Topshop make really good maternity jeans. I know because my friend has given my a pair of her old ones that I’m wearing right now. They’re almost identical to the pair below but in a very light blue colour, so they’ll be perfect for summer.

Most of Topshop’s jeans are skinny and have a wide elastic band under the stomach which makes them really comfy.

New from H&M – triple black

Apparently my sub-conscious mind is totally convinced that my closet needs even more black clothes. It keeps steering me towards them in the shops – despite the sunny and humid hotness outside. So now I’m the proud owner of three more black items from H&M:

First up er der denne lange, sorte bomuldsnederdel i bomuld/polyamid/stretch med lille slids bagpå. Sådan en enkel fætter havde jeg ledt længe efter. Vil bruge den om sommeren med en tanktop og om efteråret med asymmetriske overdele. Pris 20 pund.

I love the basic look of this long cotton/polyamid/elasthane skirt with at small slit on the back. I will pair it with a white tank top in the summer and asymmetrical layers in the autumn. Price 20 pounds.

Er også bukket under for trenden med trøjer, der stumper. De er allerbedst tilsat et par højtaljede bukser. Den her er i viscose og kostede 7 pund.

I decided to try out the “cropped t-shirt” trend, and I rather like this one when worn with high-waisted trousers. Price 7 pounds.

Elsker snittet i denne top, som desværre er 100% polly. Men den har små fine skulderpuder og kostede kun 15 pund. Fås i flere fine farver, bl.a. en lys karrygrøn.

I love the cut of this top, although the quality isn’t brilliant as it’s 100% polyester. But it has nice shoulder pads and is perfect over at top on chilly summer evenings. Cheap as well: 15 pounds. It also comes in other colours.
