My black winter wedges: Carvela Slip boots

After a month of researching and trying on and pondering I finally decided upon  what was going to be MY pair of black winter wedges for everyday use. These Carvela Slip wedges cost 130 pound, but I bought them in TopShop’s shoe department and got 10% off as I somehow still have a valid student card.

I actually headed for Oxford Street having finally decided to buy the practical Clark’s Yarra Desert boots but turns out they’re completely sold out. So I settled for these instead, they’re a bit less practical but soooo comfortable and no too high. Come in a grey suede version as well.

Wishlist: Dune elastic strap sandal

English: I still haven’t found the perfect pair of flat, practical summer sandals. They’re all so freaking boring. What I have found while quickly browsing the highstreet stores are around 10 different pair of lovely wedges: from boots to sandals. I spotted these in the window at Dune yesterday and I just love them. Simple and classy and the price is also pretty good: 65 pounds. They come in dark blue and khaki too.

You could call wedges practical and use them everyday, couldn’t you? Exactly, that’s what I thought! 🙂 I haven’t tried them on yet, so I don’t know how comfortable they are. Guess I’m heading for Dune again….

Elastic band sandals

Køb dem her.

English: I’m still looking for practical summer sandals, and spotted two more “elastic band” sandals on the Office website (I haven’t seen them in any of the shops yet). First up is the “Herman”. I actually had these last summer and wore them to death. So SO comfortable, so might consider getting them again.  Come in pink and blue as well. Price: 40 pounds. Buy them here.

Køb dem her.

English: The second pair are almost identical  but are called “Liv” and from the brand Blowfish. Cost 35 pounds and come in pink and yellow as well. Buy them here.

Wishlist: Summer sandals

English: Yesterday I went to the most dreaded place of all, Oxford Street and Top Shop’s shoe department to look for some practical summer sandals. I seriously need a comfortable pair as I always end up wearing my Jellies. High wedges are no-go this time. So, although they are a bit boring,  I might end up getting these Nicklin sandals from Aldo. Price 40 pounds (the grey ones are on sale right now.)

I also tried one these from Kurt Geiger (Huong 120 pounds) but the quality wasn’t that great considering the high price. They actually look a bit cheap.

And I tried these from Carvela, Carvela (Klauss, 95 pounds).

I even considered buying a pair from Office that is almost identical to my favourite Aldo suede wedges from last year. Main difference is that these have a lower heel and are more comfortable for everyday use. I can’t find a picture of the Office ones, but here’s Aldo’s old version.

I also spotted quite a few nice ones on Kurt Geigers brilliant website, so I think I’ll have to stop by the shop later. Here are some of them:

"Lotus" from KG by Kurt Geiger, 75 pounds. Synthetic material though, so might not be that comfortable. Photo via kurtgeiger.com

Kurt Geiger "Depp", 120 pounds. I quite like the quirky look of these, but would def. need to try them on. Photo via kurtgeiger.com

"Links", KG by Kurt Geiger. 65 pounds. Very nice but not practical enough. Photo via kurtgeiger.com

"Attila", KG by Kurt Geiger, 65 pounds (before: 100). I really like these plus they are on sale, yay!! Photo via kurtgeiger.com

"London", KG by Kurt Geiger, 59 pound (before 85). I like the basic and classic look of these and can imagine myself wearing them all summer. Photo via kurtgeiger.com
