New from H&M: animal print harem/jodphur/peg trousers

I bought these in H&M yesterday. They cost 20 pounds and are 100% viscose. Basically I just bought them to have something comfy to lounge around in at home, but I might wear them out with a pair of wedges and maybe a black cropped jacket.

They come in black as well, but I of course had to get the animal printesque version. I’m not normally a fan of patterns this sharp and bright, but needed something to lighten up these horribly dark and rainy days.

New from H&M: nude, black and lace

When I was on my highstreet hunt for winter boots I also quickly checked out the stock in my favourite H&M at Regent Street. I try to avoid it as much as I can as there’s a bit too much buy-and-throw-away-in-a-few-months tackiness about their clothes.

But H&M is amazing if you’re after cheap wardrobe basics  with a modern and edgy twist – especially if you stick to natural materials like cotton and viscose.

I ended up with this basic cotton sweater/top, I love the slouchy shape and the nude colour. Comes in MANY other colours. £ 7.99

Up second is this long black skirt in 100% soft viscose. It’s soooo comfy, it’s like the tracksuit of skirts. Perfect for lazy weekends at home but also looks pretty classy with a pair of wedge boots. I haven’t washed it yet, so don’t know how well it holds up (cheapo viscose is risky business). £ 12.99.

H&M do some pretty great tights and leggings as well. Bought this pair of lace leggings. They are soft and stretchy and have a nice wide waistband. £ 9.99.

Warm, comfy and inexpensive: Uniqlo’s HeatTech range & cashmere sweaters

Uniqlo Camisole - 9.99 pounds

I’m a big fan of casual Japanese highstreet brand Uniqlo’s HeatTech range. They sell everything from camisoles to leggings and long-sleeved shirts made from this special material that keeps you warm. Apparently the magic material also absorbs body moisture (aka sweat) and transforms it into heat. Or something like that.

Bottom line is: the fabric is comfy and soft like a baby’s bottom and doesn’t feel synthetic at all.  Plus  you can wash it like a 1000 times without it turning grey and boring (as cotton does).

They also do a range of very cheap cashmere/wool sweaters for men (and women) in many different colours. At 24.99 you’re not going to cry if: a) you find out that a hungry moth has taken a big bite of it or b) you accidentally wash it on 60 degrees. Not that any of those things have ever happened to me, no no of course not 😉

Long dresses from COS – 50% off

Dykkede fluks ind i COS i Regent Street den anden dag, da jeg så at de havde udsalg. Har længe haft lyst til flere lange sommerkjoler, så jeg endte med at købe dem her, som begge er 100% bomuld og 50% nedsat.

English: Yesterday I passed the COS shop at Regent Street and couldn’t resist the “50% off!!” signs shouting to me from the windows. I really like the Swedish (H&M-owned) brand and its minimalist, edgy and structured designs, as there is something very Scandinavian about them. But their prices are quite a bit higher than H&M and unfortunately the quality doesn’t always follow the price.

These cotton dresses were half price, which makes a lot more sense.

Den her er favoritten. Den ser lidt ud som om, at jeg er blevet angrebet af en gal og meget Jackson Pollock-inspireret maler. Eller måske en pels-aktivist, bevæbnet med den forkerte farve maling. Pris 49 24,5 pund.

Og her er den beige/taupe. Det sjoveste ved den er vist dens bryderryg, som er snoet en omgang. Men super behagelig på hedebølgedage (som om de nogensinde kommer til London) eller sydhavsferier 🙂 Pris 45 22,5 pund.
